Project Breakdown Sheet
Interior Visualization – Modern Living Room
1. Modeling (Autodesk Maya)
All assets modeled in Autodesk Maya using real-world scale and clean subdivision-ready topology
Furniture (sofa, chairs, coffee table, dining set) created with optimized edge flow and quad-based geometry
Architectural elements (walls, flooring, ceiling, windows) modeled with precise dimensions and clean boolean operations where required
Bevels added to sharp edges to enhance realism during light interaction
Scene assembled with proper hierarchy and naming conventions for easy management
2. Texturing (Substance 3D Painter)
Textures created using Adobe Substance 3D Painter with PBR metal–roughness workflow
Custom texture maps exported:
Base Color
Roughness
Metallic
Normal
Fabric materials feature subtle roughness variation and normal detail to simulate cloth softness
Wood textures include directional grain alignment and roughness breakup
Concrete wall textures use layered surface detail to achieve a raw, modern look
All assets UV unwrapped cleanly to avoid stretching and texture repetition
3. Lighting (Arnold Renderer)
Natural daylight setup using Arnold Physical Sky and Area Lights
Floor-to-ceiling windows allow realistic light penetration and soft global illumination
Interior lighting enhanced with pendant lights and floor lamps for balanced contrast
Light intensity and color temperature adjusted for a natural, warm interior feel
Focus on soft shadows, realistic light falloff, and depth enhancement
4. Rendering (Arnold Renderer)
Final renders produced using Arnold Renderer with physically based shaders
Optimized render settings for noise reduction and detail preservation
Accurate reflections and refractions on glass and polished surfaces
Camera framing and focal length selected to emphasize spatial flow and composition
High-resolution output suitable for professional architectural visualization and portfolio presentation
Software Used:
